Universities have major roles in realizing Ethiopia’s Renaissance: PM Hailemariam

Addis Ababa, 12 July 2014 (WIC) – Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn said universities have key roles in realizing the efforts exerted to ensure the renaissance of the country.

Speaking at the graduation  ceremony of 8, 142 students of  Addis  Ababa  University todday in Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees,  PM Hailemariam  emphasized the irreplaceable  contribution  of trained manpower to Ethiopia’s development.

Having recalled the huge  human resource  potential of the country,   PM Hailemariam emphasized the significance of the sector in achieving United Nations’  Millennium  Development Goals.  

Dr. Admasu Tsegaye,  President  of  the University,  on his  part  said over 200,000 students have graduated from AAU in the past 63  years.
