Ethiopians in Dubai purchases bonds for GERD

Addis Ababa, 1 July 2014 (WIC) - On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the launching of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), members of the Ethiopian Diaspora as well as citizens of Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia and Eritrea residing in the UAE have bought bonds worth USD 422,975.
The anniversary event was organized by the Ethiopian Consulate in Dubai in collaboration with the Office of National Council for the Coordination of Public Participation on the Construction of the GERD.
At the event certificates were handed to the members of the Diaspora, to the nationals of neighboring countries and to the members of the council and the staff of the Consulate who contribute for the event and bought bonds. (MoFA)
