Hailemariam Hold Talks with Somali Prime Minister
Addis Ababa, 12 June 2014 (WIC) - Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn held talks on Wednesday with his Somali counterpart Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed on regional issues.
Hailemariam said on the occasion Ethiopia is committed to providing all the necessary support to bring peace and security to Somalia.
The Ethiopian government will stand along the people of Somalia until Al Shabab is wiped out, the premier underscored.
The PM added that all stakeholders in the region should work harder to bring stability in Somalia.
Somali Prime Minister Abduweli Sheikh Ahmed on his part said a lot has been achieved with the help of Ethiopian Forces and AMISOM.
He noted that the Ethiopian Army, in collaboration with the National Army of Somalia, is defeating Al Shabab.
According to ENA, of late, Al Shabab has been losing confidence as a result of the devastating blow it received and the nine key towns it lost, the premier pointed out.
