Shura chairman meets Ethiopian ambassador

Addis Ababa, 15 May 2014 (WIC) - Chairman of the Shura Council Abdul-Rahman Othman met here on Tuesday with Ethiopian ambassador to Yemen Hasan Abdullah Ali.   

At the meeting, Othman and Ali reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Yemeni-Ethiopian joint ministerial committee meetings to be held in Sana'a on 14 April, as well as the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The Shura Chairman hailed the political stability and economic growth Ethiopia enjoys, which are reflected in all walks of life that encourage a Yemenis to establish a large community in Ethiopia.   

He also praised the success of Ethiopia's federal experience and its good results in eliminating internal conflicts.   

For his part, the Ethiopian ambassador reviewed the topics to be on the table of the Yemeni-Ethiopian joint ministerial committee in fields of labor, agriculture, electricity and other vital areas.   

Ali confirmed the Ethiopia's adherence to develop the cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in regulating the Ethiopian workers' entry into Yemen.   

He also previewed the Ethiopian experience in federalism and obstacles and difficulties faced the country, which have been overcome after a long period of time, thanks to the concerted efforts of national sincere forces. (sabanews)
