Renaissance Dam key to cement regional cooperation

Addis Ababa, 29 April 2014 (WIC) – The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will facilate  regional cooperation, according to Speaker of House of Fedration, Kassa Teklebirhan.

Kassa made the remark at panel discussion being held in Bahirdar town focusing on the role scholars to efficiently utilize Nile Waters for development.

Kassa said the renaissance dam would play a significant role towards expediting Ethiopia’s economic growth and cementing regional integration and cooperation.

Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, on his par said that the panel discussion would help to obtain valuable input that will benefit all Nile riparian countries.

Government officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, House of Peoples’ Representatives, Scholars, and various guests are taking part in the panel discussion. (FBC)
