Journalist Berhe Haile passes away

Addis Ababa, 18 February 2014 (WIC) - Long time TPLF fighter and journalist, poet and writer Berhe Haile passed away February 14, 2014 at the age of 52.
He was born in 1962 at a place called Naeder Adet Central zone of Tigray Regional state and joined TPLF in his early ages in 1980s.
A year after, Berhe took the responsibility of voice of Tigray Radio revolution, which was based in Asahel Eritrea where he stayed until 1985.
According to his nearest friends, Journalist Berhe had diversified contribution. He was participating not only in writing and casting news and other news genres but also in managing the entire tasks of the radio.
Journalist Berhe served in various positions; as journalist, head of the programmer department of the Radio until 2009; then he trained young journalists on journalism skill.
Berhe was also a poet. He wrote one book comprisi8ng the collection of poems.
Besides he inspired many young men and women to join TPLF during the struggle against the Military Junta that his significant role in mobilizing the public for the bitter struggle will be remembered.
It is known that Berhe was loved and appreciated by his comrades and largely by the public for his honest and cooperative manner.
He obtained his second degree of business administration from Amsterdam University.
