Authority collects over 16,000 cultural heritages
Addis Ababa, 1 January 2014 (WIC) - Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritages (ARCCH) said it has collected 16,472 cultural heritages during the past five months.
Public and International Relations Assistant Head, Fanta Beyene, told WIC today the heritages collected in the reported period surpassed from the set target by 16,472 heritages.
The heritages were structured properly so that researchers can get access to them easily, he said.
Fanta further said conservation works were also carried out on 162 movable and more than 10 immovable cultural heritages during the past five months of this fiscal year.
The authority has also managed to create jobs for 460 people in the reported period, he said.
