Berhane receives new Tunisian Ambassador to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 27 (WIC) - State Minister Ambassador Berhane Gebre-Kristos received copy of credential from the newly appointed Tunisian Ambassador to Ethiopia, SahbiKhlfallah.
The Tunisian Ambassador briefed the State Minister about the political developments and current situation in Tunisia and said that political parties and other stakeholders have been undertaking dialogues to reach consensus and understanding on the way Tunisia’s political future should take.
Ambassador Khalfallah also appreciated the encouragement African countries including Ethiopia have given to the Tunisian people during their transition to democracy. The Ambassador added that the Tunisian government is ready to collaborate and cooperate with Ethiopia on bilateral as well as continental matters.
Welcoming the new Ambassador, State Minister Ambassador Berhane Gebre-Kristos, stated that Tunisia plays an important role in Africa and assured the Ambassador Ethiopia support. The State Minister also expressed Ethiopia’s faith and confidence in Tunisian people’s wisdom to chart Tunisia’s path to a better place. 
Stressing the already strong political relationship and cooperation between the two countries, State Minister Ambassador Berhane said it is the right time to deepen the relationship in the economic front as well.
The State Minister also assured the new Ambassador that the Ministry and its staff will provide any assistance that he requires and will work closely. (ERTA)
