Authority takes stakeholders’ input on advertising proclamation directive
Addis Ababa, December 21 (WIC) – Ethiopian Broadcast Authority (EBA) says it has taken valuable inputs from a discussion held on a draft directive for the Advertisement Proclamation.
Industry players took part on the discussion held Thursday at Wabi Shebelle Hotel which EBA says will improve the draft directive.
Sponsorship issues, ads during TV news intervals and topics relating to TV dramas are among issues discussed, Werkineh Tafa, EBA public relations coordination head, said. Werkineh says the draft will be amended incorporating the suggestions forwarded during the discussion.
Advertisement Proclamation came in to force on November 2011 to clearly define the rights and obligations of advertising agents, advertisement disseminators and advertisers.
