Turkish companies keen to invest in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, December 20 (WIC) - Turkish Deputy Minister for Economy Bulent Ugur Ecevit said Turkish companies are interested to invest in Ethiopia in various sectors.
While conferring with House of Peoples' Representatives Speaker Abadula Gemeda here Wednesday, the Minister said the companies are interested to engage in hotel and tourism, textile and steel industries as well as production of construction materials, mobile accessories and electric cables.
The Minister said Turkish companies are willing to invest in Ethiopia and utilize the vast supply of labor and raw materials as well as the peace and stability in the country.
The Speaker Abadula Gemeda on his part expressed the government's commitment to provide support for companies who wish to invest in the country.
Turkish investments in Ethiopia are benefiting the country through job creation, technology transfer and get additional foreign currency, he said. (ENA)
