Authority collects over 1.4 bln Birr revenue from tax
Bahir Dar, 10 December 2013 (WIC) - The Amhara Revenues and Customs Authority said it has collected more than 1.4 billion Birr revenue from various income titles over the past five months.
Communication Expert with the Authority, Alemayehu Gashaye told ENA that 32.4 percent of the total revenue was secured from direct taxes, while the balance secured from municipality services.
West Gojjam, East Gojjam and North Soa Zones as well as BhirDar town achieved 38.9 percent, 34.7 percent, 34.6 percent and 30.7 percent of their target, respectively.
According to ENA, he said the Authority is striving to collect over five billion Birr revenue from various income titles during the current fiscal year.
