Board evaluates dev’t, good governance works in Gambella as encouraging
Gambella, 4 December 2013 (WIC) – The Federal Special Support Board evaluated ongoing development and good governance activities in Gambella Regional State as encouraging.
The board, consisting of ministers and state ministers from agriculture, education, federal affairs and other relevant sectors, evaluated this fiscal year’s first quarter performance reports from November 21-23, 2006 EC.
Chairperson of the Federal Special Support Board, Addisu Legesse, on the occasion praised the joint efforts of the board and the regional government to ensure the development benefits of the residents.
“The efforts underway to provide the 37,000 vilagized family heads with necessary infrastructure facilities are encouraging,” Addisu said at the four held for two consecutive days.
Federal Affairs State Minister, Mulugeta Wuletaw, on his part said that prime attention should be given toward fulfilling other amenities, including education, health and safe drinking water facilities as well as flour mills.
Chief Administrator of the Gambella Regional State, Gatlwak Tut, and his deputy, Engineer Ulero Opiyew, on their part said the regional government would do its level best to improve the livelihood of the residents and make them beneficiaries of new agricultural technologies.
Members of the board led by Addisu Legess and other higher government officials visited various development activities underway in the region.
