HPR calls on the youth to expedite nation’s reawakening
Addis Ababa, 4 December 2013 (WIC) - Addis Ababa Youth Federation (AAYF) held a symposium on Tuesday in connection with the upcoming 8th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day.
On the occasion, Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), Abadula Gemeda said once a prison of nations close to disintegration, Ethiopia has now become a land where nationalities live together peacefully.
According to ERTA, Abadula said the youth shoulder the responsibility to safeguard the national constitution that signaled the Ethiopia’s renaissance.
He called on the youth to discharge their obligation in speeding up the nation’s ongoing journey towards renaissance and realizing its reawakening.
Federation vice President, Tsegaye Gebretsadik for his part said the 8th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day should be an occasion on which the youth would renew their commitment to accomplish the vision of the late great leader Meles Zenawi.
