Photo exhibition displayed in memory of the late PM Meles

Addis Ababa, 21 August 2014 (WIC) - As part of the second year memorial of Former Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, a photo exhibition by former fighters of TPLF remembering the late leader opened on Wednesday in Addis Ababa.   

High ranking government officials including President Dr. Mulatu Teshome and Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn have visited the exhibition.

The exhibition displays photographs taken by former TPLF fighters. It covers the struggle journey of TPLF and its members.

Meanwhile, a design of the Meles Zenawi Foundation was made public by the Foundation’s Committee.   

Chairperson of the Foundation, Azeb Mesfin, said the design of the center is made in such a way that it would have the footprints of every nations, nationalities and peoples of the country.   

Azeb said the support of Ethiopians for the Foundation has been invaluable, adding the international community has also supported the Foundation.

Established in 2013, the Meles Zenawi Foundation aims to promote education and research.   

The Foundation aims to serve as a learning center not only for Ethiopians but also for Africans. (ERTA)
