MIGA’s President concludes four-day visit to Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, 11 July 2014 (WIC) - Michel Wormser, President of Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), concluded today his four-day visit to Ethiopia.

Wormser noted that the purpose of his visit to Addis Ababa was to show the Agency’s firm commitment to sustain the flow of foreign direct investment to Ethiopia and explore priority areas for more partnership with the view to advance Ethiopia’s sustainable development agenda.

The Agency valued infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, and manufacturing sectors as “important projects” in its continued assistance to the attainment of Ethiopia’s development objectives, according to the Agency’s press statement.

The Agency has given assistance to private investment in Ethiopia in the spheres of agribusiness and manufacturing. MIGA is the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group.
