Gunmen kill nine in Benishangul-Gumuz region bus attack

Addis Ababa, 16 April 2014 (WIC) - Gunmen ambushed a bus carrying people in Benishangul-Gumuz region, western Ethiopia, killing nine people, Government Communications Affairs Office (GCAO) said.
The attack took place Tuesday dawn at a place called Teiba in Sherkole Wereda, some 100 km south of Asossa, seat of the Benishangul-Gumuz regional state.
The ambush left nine people dead and wounded six others, some with severe injuries, GCAO has said.
The government vowed to hunt down and bring to justice the culprits adding that investigations are already in full swing.
