GRD new ambassador to Ethiopia – Bereket

Addis Ababa, 29 March 2014 (WIC) –The Grand Renaissance Dam (GRD) is new ambassador in building positive image of Ethiopia, according to office of National Council for the Coordination of the Public Participation on the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam.
Office Director General Bereket Simon made the remark here yesterday at a music drama organized jointly by the office and Addis Ababa University in connection with the 3rd year anniversary of commencement of GRD‘s  construction. 
The construction of the dam has a significant role towards selling the positive image of the nation, Bereket indicated.
He said all Ethiopians need to do their part in for the realization of the dam as it was launched to extricate the country out of poverty.
He added that people engaged in the art sector in particular are expected to play a significant role towards sensitizing the international community and riparian countries about the advantage of the dam.
President of Addis Ababa University Dr Admasu Tsegaye the university has been taking part in various national issues extensively.
It would also continue conducting problem solving and poverty alleviating researches in the future, he added.
