Mekelle, March 27 (WIC) – Wukro Gabion Factory has reportedly earned more than 16 million birr during the past eight months.
Factory Manager Teklay Gebregziabher told WIC that the income was obtained from the over 90,000 gabions and mattresses produced during the reported period.
He said produces of the factory could be mainly used for conserving water and soil, harnessing rivers and building roads and bridges.
Established three years ago with 10 million birr capital in Tigray State, the factory has created casual and permanent jobs to 150 people, it was indicated.
