Desse, March 25 (WIC) - The Ethiopian Kalehiwot Church has reportedly launched a nine-million-birr project that provides care for child victims of HIV/AIDS and other related social problems in Desse and Kombolcha towns.

The church will provide food, clothing, education and medical services for orphans, the manager said, adding that 4.5 million birr has been allotted for each town.
Consolidated support would be given to the children so that they could pursue their education and activities that make the children grow physically and mentally strong would also be carried out, according to the manager.
The project which would benefit children and youth aged from three up to 19 years will be carried out in collaboration with Kombelset International, he said, adding that 500 children and youth in both towns would benefit from the program.
