Arab League Ambassador pledges to consolidate relations with Ethiopia

Axum, February 27, 2008 (WIC) – The Arab League Ambassador to Ethiopia said today that he would work to consolidate the longstanding relations between Ethiopia and the Arab League.
Speaking on arrival at Axum town with a delegation of four ambassadors, Arab League Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ahmed Salah Nuh, said he will work to strengthen the strong cultural and trade ties between Ethiopia and Arab countries. The ambassador, who expressed his delighted with the warm reception they were accorded by residents of Axum town, said the visit would enable the delegation to know the historical attractions in the town. The delegation later visited Axum Obelisk, the palaces of King Kaleb and Queen Sheba, Axum Archeological Museum and various historical places. The ambassadors will visit tomorrow Nejashi Mosque and other historical places in Mekelle and its environs, it was learnt. The delegation led by the Arab League Ambassador consisted of the ambassadors of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia to Ethiopia. |
