Addis Ababa, April 28, 2008 (WIC) - The Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Law Society that enables the organizations to collaborate in different legal frameworks.
Speaking after the signing of the MoU, Commissioner Ali Suleman said it would create a conducive situation for Ethiopia to acquire the experience of China in the sector.
The Chinese Law Society would organize various training and experience sharing programs for Ethiopian Lawyers Association in accordance with the memorandum, he said, adding that Ethiopia will also share the experience it has accumulated in its anti-corruption drive.
A six-member delegation led by Chinese Law Society Executive Vice President Liu Yang would also hold discussion with officials of the Ministry of Justice and Ethiopian Lawyers Association, it was learnt.
Chinese Law Society has more than 100,000 members.
