AAU confers professorship on four scholars
Addis Ababa, April 25, 2008 (WIC) – The Addis Ababa University (AAU) disclosed that it has conferred professorship upon four scholars.
In a press release it issued yesterday, the university said the intellectuals have effectively been serving as lecturers and researchers in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Science faculties of the university.
Accordingly, Dr. Getachew Aderaye and Dr. Kebede Oli Ayana from the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Merga Bekana Gonfa from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Dr. Wondimagegn Mamo Deneke from Faculty of Science were promoted to the rank of professorship, it added.
AAU Board approved the promotion on its March 25, 2008 meeting, it was learnt.
