Center finalizes preparations to celebrate Ethiopian Millennium in four African countries

Addis Ababa, April 18 (WIC) - Preparations have been finalized to colorfully celebrate the Ethiopian Millennium in four African countries, according to the organizer.

Celebration coordinator and Information and Programs Sector Deputy Manager with Walta Information Center, Teteka Bekele, said preparations have been underway to celebrate the millennium in different African countries.

The events to be celebrated in Nigeria, South Africa, the Sudan and Djibouti beginning on April 24 would portray the comprehensive picture of the country, he added.

The celebrations are organized to nurture African sprit among our brothers in the continent, Teteka said, adding that they would also help display the investment potentials of the country.

Panel discussions, photo and art exhibitions that depict nations and nationalities, musical shows and messages prepared in DVD and VCD are parts of the events, according to the deputy manger. Popular documentary films of Walta Information Center will also be screened, he added.

The events are reportedly organized by Walta information Center, in collaboration with Radio Fana, Secretariat of the Ethiopian Millennium Festival National Council, Ministry of Information and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
