Addis Ababa, April 18 (WIC) - The Ethiopian Peoples Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) called on the public to turn out en masse and vote for their favorite candidates in the local election to be held this Sunday.
Election Public Relations Head with EPRDF Office, Tadesse Kassa, told WIC that eligible voters should take part in the election and consolidate the democratic process.
Stressing the crucial role of the public in the election, he further urged the public to withstand obstacles that may hamper their participation.
The contribution of the public to the successful conclusion of the election last week was exemplary and admirable, according to the head.
The over 90 percent turn out of registered voters clearly indicates the flourishing of a democratic culture in the country, Tadesse noted.
The head finally urged voters who failed to cast their ballots last Sunday not to miss the upcoming local election.
