World Vision Ethiopia, Tigray State conclude over 54.5 million birr project agreement |

World Vision Ethiopia Country Director, Tenagne Lemma, and Tigray Agriculture and Rural Development Bureau Head Abay Woldu signed the agreement. Development works focusing on food security, education, health, child development, water, agriculture, environment conservation and capacity building would be carried out over the coming five years, according to Tenagne. Two community development works would also be executed in the drought ravaged Atsbi Wonberta and Saesi Tsaedaemba woredas, she added. The development works would benefit 196,667 people in the woredas, she further said. World Vision Ethiopia is undertaking various development works in over 60 woredas in seven states across the country with over 400 million birr budget this year, the director further pointed out. Agriculture and Rural Development Bureau Head, Abay Woldu, on his part said the organization had similarly executed satisfactory development works in various areas, adding that this project would also have immense contribution towards alleviation of the deep-rooted poverty in the state. |
